Overview

The ski tracks at Sulisfjellet are described by the famous cross country skier Martin Johnsrud Sundby as holding higher standard than the world cup tracks. The tracks are internationally recognized as one of Norways best cross country ski tracks.

The Norwegian cross country ski national team, with Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Emil Iversen and Niklas Dyrhaug among others, have traning camp at Jakobsbakken mountain resort every season leading up to the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022.

Jakobsbakken is a good starting point. From there the tracks goes between the historical buildings in the old mining village with a fantastic view towards the mountains Sulisfjellene, before in continues towards Tjorvi where you turn around and start going back.

Along the way you will get a great view towards some of Northern Norway´s highest mountain peaks and idyllic rivers at the Junkerdal National Park. You can ski up to 30 km without going in the same track twice.
